Hey, guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2017 Nissan Murano, and we're gonna be taking a look at, and I'm gonna show you how to install the CURT 4-Pole Trailer Wiring Harness. Adding a 4-Pole Trailer Wiring Harness to the back of your Murano is gonna allow you to safely transfer the lighting signals from your Murano to your trailer to let others know what your intentions are when you're pulling that trailer. This kit will give you your left turn signal, your right turn signal. It will combine those signals to give you your stop signal. It'll have your running lights and then the fourth wire on your 4-Pole is going to be your ground so that the system works properly. more

This is going to provide you with all your necessary lighting functions when you're towing your trailer, going to get your turn signals, your running lights, as well as your brake lights.What I really like about it is the fact that it uses a module box. Now, that box is going to protect your vehicle's factory wiring if a short we're to occur on your trailer. It also has a nice dust cap, which not only is going to help keep the terminals protected. Speaker 1: Today in this 2014 Nissan Murano we'll be having a look at and showing you how to install the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with a 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, Part number 55571.Here's what wiring looks like installed. As you can see this wiring is designed to be stored inside our vehicle when it's not in use since it's draped over our bumper here. We have plenty of length to get right next to the receiver on our hitch. Now the reason you're going to want some four pull flat wiring for your Murano is if you're planning on towing a trailer you need to have the required lighting functions by law and this is going to give that to you.The white wire here will provide the necessary ground connection between a Murano and our trailer. The brown wire will provide our tail light and running light signal. And on that circuit we'll have a total power output of 6 amps. more

Today on our 2016 Nissan Murano, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for 4-pole flat trailer connector, part number 118660. This is what our wiring harness looks like when it's installed. As you can see it's going to live inside the vehicle, so when not in use, you just roll it up, drop it down into your spare tire area, close your lid, and it's safely stored away. When you do want to use it, simply pull it out, drop your panel back down. What you want to do is rest it over this rubber trim here. Stay away from any connection points that your hatch is going to make. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2012 Nissan Murano- Video
Today on our 2012 Nissan Murano, we'll be taking a look at and installing the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, Part Number 55571. Now, our 4-pole wires are going to be great for anybody that's looking to get some lights to their trailer. This will have your tail lights or running lights, your left turn signal, your right turn signal, and your brake lights. This will be good for any trailer that your vehicle can pull unless it has a different wiring adapter. When you're ready to use it, you'll simply run it out the back, go ahead and pull it out of our stowed area in the spare tire compartment, and out the back when we're ready to use it. You'll have plenty to hook it up to your trailer wherever that connection may be, and we'll close down the hatch over the top. This weatherstripping is going to be thick enough and it won't damage it. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2010 Nissan Murano- Video
Today on our 2010 Nissan Murano, we'll be taking a look at and installing the T1 vehicle wiring harness, with 4 pole, flat trailer connector, part number 118653. When you're going to use it, simply take it out, and lay it over the seal plate. Bring out the mount that you're going to need, and we'll be careful not to pinch our wire in our latch. Close it down, and now you're ready to tow. When you're done, just place your wires, cap them, and you're ready to go. To begin our installation, we're going to open up the back, hook this out of the way. We need to remove both of these side covers, remove the package tray. more

Today on our 2015 Nissan Murano, we're going to review an install of the Curt Custom Fit 4-Pole Trailer Connector, part number C56267. Before we install it let's go and review our trailer wiring. Open up the rear hatch and spare tire cover. Take our 4-flat trailer connector wiring out, running it out over the vehicle threshold. However, stay away from the latch, as pinching it off in the latch can harm the wire, but the threshold seal is thick enough that it won't harm the wire. Then we'll close the rear hatch on the wiring. Once it's closed I'll pull out the wire necessary, so that we can run it down to our hitch or accessory. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2014 Nissan Murano 118653- Video
Today in our 2014 Nissan Murano, we're going to review and install the tow-ready, custom fit vehicle wiring harness with four pole trailer connector, part number 118653. This is a standard four flat trailer connector with a ground wire, running light, driver side turn signal and brake, and passenger side turn signal and brake circuits. Fits most standard four flat trailer connectors. Built on here is a nice cap for protecting the four flat end and it stores nicely inside. With our tow-ready harness installed, we can open up the rear cargo area and center cover and see that it's nicely stored inside, and out of the elements. To use it, we'll simply take the four flat connector, run it out over the threshold, making sure that we stay away from the latch. Then we can go ahead and close the rear hatch on it as the weather stripping is thick enough that it won't harm the wire. Once the door is closed, we'll pull out what wire is necessary to run down to our hitch or accessory. Once we're finished using our four flat connector, we can simply open up the rear hatch storage compartment and store it in with the spare tire. more

Today on this 2007 Nissan Murano, we're going to install part number C56105 from Curt. This is a Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with a 4-Pole Flat. Let's open up the back hatch, and we'll remove all the floor coverings, getting down to the spare tire. We'll take this panel, raises up, and remove this tray. Get this cover for the spare tire out of our way, and our side panels here. They'll be one on each side of the car. Now these pockets right here, we have to loosen up as well. There's two bolts on the inside, and a 10 millimeter socket will get them loose. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2014 Nissan Murano 118481- Video
Today on our 2014 Nissan Murano, we'll be installing the Tow Ready T-One vehicle wiring harness with 4-pole flat trailer 00:00:06 connector. Part number 118481. To begin our install, we'll first open up the hatch as we'll need to remove some of the interior paneling to gain access to the manufacturer's wiring behind the tail light. We'll first need to remove the center spare tire cover as lifting it up and out of the way is just not adequate enough to get the rear storage compartment out. To remove it, we'll need to remove the cover over the rear cargo hooks. Using a small flat-blade screwdriver, we can pop the cap up and then remove the fastener. more

We'll take our 4-pole and run it out and down to the center of the hitch or accessory. Be careful, stay away from the latch as pinching the wire off in the latch can harm it. However, the weather seal is thick enough that it won't when we simply close the rear cargo door on the wire. Then once we're finished using our new 4-pole wire we'll go ahead and open up the rear cargo door, roll it up and store it in the rear storage tray. Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2004 Nissan Murano- Video
Today on our 2004 Nissan Murano well be installing the Curt T-connector vehicle wiring harness with 4-pole flat connector, part number 55571. To begin our install, well first need to go ahead and remove some interior trim components. Starting with the floorboard quarter panels, well then pull up on them and then remove them setting them aside for reinstallation later. Next well go ahead and raise the spare tire cover and remove the cargo tray. Next well go ahead and remove the rear threshold. To remove the rear threshold, well remove the three fasteners that secure it, and then using our flat-bladed screwdriver or an interior trim panel tool we can get underneath of it, simply pry it up releasing the fasteners underneath. more

Today on our 2010 Nissan Murano well be installing the Tow-Ready T1 Connector part number 118481. Our first step is to access the rear cargo area. Well need to remove the flooring panels and the rear threshold. Next, well remove the fasteners that are securing the quarter panels behind the taillight. With our quarter panels out of the way, well gaining access to the rear taillight wiring. Well locate the manufacturers plug, disconnect it. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2009 Nissan Murano- Video
Today I will be working on at 2009 Nissan Murano were going to install Tow-Ready T-One Connector 118481. First were going to access the rear hatch of the vehicle, once we get in to the rear hatch of the vehicle first we need to remove the rear cargo area, open the door there's two clips or turn stout push pins on either side this is the driver's side were just going to turn it 90 degrees and do the passenger's side the same way, pick up on the cargo and slide it out from underneath the rear trim Im going to go ahead and close it and we going to start that out of our way of reinstallation later. Next what I want to do you'll see a claw strap here just kind of open it on the driver's side. Next we'll want to remove the rear threshold piece, underneath here there's going to be three-plastic push pins to remove. Okay I place the one on the driver's side there's one in the middle and on the passenger's side I'm going to go and repeat the same process for all three. Now we've got all three fasteners removed we can go ahead and remove our rear threshold we just kind of gently pull up on it. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2003 Nissan Murano- Video
Today we are working on 2003 Nissan Murano. We are going to install the Curt T-Connector Wiring Kit, product number 55571. First, we're going to access the rear cargo area of the vehicle. We are going to need to remove all the interior components to get down to the vehicle wiring. Underneath these plastic covers there will be fasteners that hold the mounting points in. Now you can see two more fasteners that are going to hold on the storage door. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2006 Nissan Murano- Video
Today on this 2006 Nissan Murano we are going to install part number C56105 from Curt, their T connector wiring kit. The first thing we need to do is get access to the inside of the vehicle so we are going to have to open up the hatch and we are going to remove some interior panels to get to the wire harness. This compartment we have to move also so we have to remove these two bolts and that will allow us to take it apart. In order to remove this compartment we also have to loosen up the carpeting on the side here too. We are just going to pop up this cap right here and then we will remove the tie down hook. Now we have got our driver side done, now we will go over to the passenger side and repeat the same process. 00:50 more
